Who we are

AussieVitals is operated by Pleros Digital Pty Ltd (ACN 696 831 124), an Australian company based in Melbourne, Victoria.

What we collect when you run a scan

When you enter a URL and click "Check My Site", we collect:

  • The URL you submitted
  • The scan results (scores and individual check data)
  • Your IP address (for rate limiting only — not stored long-term)
  • Timestamp of the scan

What we store in the benchmark

The AussieVitals Benchmark stores anonymised, aggregated data only:

  • Overall score and category scores
  • Detected platform (e.g., WordPress, Shopify)
  • Detected industry (if parseable from page content)
  • Timestamp

URLs are not stored in the benchmark dataset. After platform and industry detection, the URL is discarded. Individual scan results cannot be traced back to a specific website from the benchmark data.

What we collect when you request a report

If you enter your email address to receive a full report, we collect:

  • Your email address
  • The URL you scanned
  • The scan results (to generate your report)

We use your email address solely to send your report. We do not add you to a mailing list, send marketing emails, or share your email with third parties.

Third-party services

AussieVitals uses the following third-party services to operate:

  • Google PageSpeed Insights API — to generate performance and mobile usability data. Google's privacy policy applies to their processing of the URL you submit.
  • Cloudflare — hosting and CDN. Cloudflare processes request metadata (IP, headers) as part of serving the site.
  • Supabase — database for benchmark data (anonymised scores only).
  • Resend — email delivery for reports.

Cookies

AussieVitals does not use cookies for tracking or analytics. Cloudflare may set technical cookies required for security and performance. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.

Data retention

  • Scan results: Retained for 90 days, then deleted.
  • Email addresses: Retained for 12 months after your last interaction, then deleted.
  • Benchmark data: Retained indefinitely (anonymised, no PII).
  • IP addresses: Not stored beyond the duration of rate-limiting (24 hours).

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to:

  • Request access to any personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Request deletion of your personal information

Opting out of the benchmark

If you do not want your scan data included in the AussieVitals Benchmark, email hello@aussievitals.com.au with the URL and approximate date of your scan. We will remove the associated benchmark data within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
